Class of ’19 Graduate Receives “Heart of Mercy” Award

Autumn Drake, a 2019 graduate of Our Mother of Sorrows/St. Ignatius of Loyola (OMSSI) Catholic School has distinguished herself in a number of significant ways during her four years at Merion Mercy. For this, Autumn was awarded the Heart of Mercy Award at recent commencement ceremonies.

This honor is presented to a graduating senior who exemplifies the essence of Mercy. It is an honor bestowed upon the person who has shown continuously that she lives in the spirit of Catherine McAuley, founder of the Sisters of Mercy, offering time, effort, talent and compassion to ensure a better life for her peers. Mercy is doing and acting out of love, believing in it and living it. The person receiving this award is recognized for her commitment to the values of the Gospel and her example of acting with Mercy in the name of God. Autumn was recognized by the faculty and senior class as the young woman who best exemplifies these qualities.

We are so proud of Autumn and are pleased to share that she will be attending the University of Michigan in the fall!
