Joseph Mock

Principal

A product of Catholic schools, Mr. Mock brings nearly two decades of experience working with children, families, and teachers in public, private, and charter schools. He has earned a bachelor’s degree in Education, a certification in Special Education from Bloomsburg University, and a master’s degree in Educational Leadership. He earned Principal Certification from The University of Scranton.

Mr. Mock prides himself on being a student-focused and relationship-building leader who cares deeply about the purpose and promise of all students.  He is ready to drive the IMS mission and serve the students, families, and teachers at OMSSI to help them meet their God-given potential. 

Josh Rundle

Assistant Principal

Josh Rundle is the Assistant Principal at Our Mother of Sorrows/St. Ignatius School (OMSSI) in West Philadelphia.  Having begun his teaching career in Greenville, Mississippi as a Lasallian Volunteer, Mr. Rundle later spent six years as a teacher and then principal with the San Miguel Schools of Chicago. During this time he also participated in the development of the Catalyst Schools.  From 2006 through 2015, he served in various capacities, including middle school supervisor and interim superintendent at Our Lady of Mercy School in Rio de Janeiro.  Having returned to the States in 2015, he spent time teaching middle school math in the School District of Philadelphia before coming to OMSSI in August of 2016.

Mr. Rundle holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Drew University and master’s degrees in Education and Administration from Lewis University and Dominican University.  In addition to his classroom and administrative activities, he has enjoyed working with students as a coach and campus minister and is an avid liturgical guitarist.  Mr. Rundle resides in Audubon, PA with his wife, Adriana, and their three children, Tiago, Lucas, and Melissa.
